Bruno Fernandes scored a sensational goal from a cross-shot as Portugal edged Uruguay in a feisty Group H clash.
After a cagey first-half, Fernandes' curled home from distance & Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to have got something on that. But replays showed the ball went in directly without the skipper's intervention; thus rewarding the Manchester United midfielder his first FIFA World Cup goal.
Fernandes then converted his second from the spot after VAR intervened to award the 2016 European champions a penalty following a handball.
